This is an impressive Iron Age hill fort built around 2,500 years ago a few miles south of St Ives, not far from Men-An-Tol stone circle, atop the remote Chun Downs in Cornwall.
When I visited, I was the only person up there and it felt distinctly humbling to stand in such a striking place, and imagine all the ancient life force focused on that spot over the centuries.
With walls apparently 20ft high, it must have been an amazing place when it was in use.
