It’s not that far away, the nights grow cooler and the smell of falling leaves is in the air. This cuddly Tanager is just hanging out with the Harrier here in my composite from the Bear River National Wildlife Refuge about 6 miles down the road from me ;-)

Sweet composition, Zoe! Really does look like winter is on the way but the bright little bird symbolises that there will still be some colour to enjoy! ;o)

  • Thanks so much Krys, winter is actually my favourite season next to autumn..;-)

Beautifully creative work, Childrens Books should contain this lovely images to share with children that live in cities all over the world just how Wonderful Nature can be, GREAT WORK!!!!!

  • Aw, thanks so much Sharon, I do plan to release a collection of children’s books in the future, particularly my Little Boat and Friends series. This would probably be a nice pic for that series as well, thank you for your welcomed comment (as always) ;-)

Looks like snow!!! Is it? Lovely light through the tree makes this feel like late afternoon on a lazy fall day. Love that feeling!

  • Yes, Judi, I shot this last year at the Bear River NWR, and just came across it again recently. I usually go out and get a few snowy mountain type pics after the first snow, etc. This one was particularly pretty I thought because of that tree, it just has so much movement and character to it! Thanks so much Judi..;-)
