A Small Window Of Opportunity - The Cliff Swallowby DigitallyStill
A small window of opportunity. I had the privilege of observing this Cliff Swallow (Petrochelidon pyrrhonota) collecting mud. With its tail fanned opened and wings fluttering, it diligently dug at the mud, as it collected the right paste to build a nearby nest.
Grabbing mud. Great catch. They are so fast collecting this too. Well captured.
This photo is one of many of her/his return visits to the mud flat. Lady luck was on my side once again Bunny. ;-) Many thanks my friend. I’m glad you like it.
You are right Jeannine, seeing and photographing these Cliff Swallows was a real treat. They are such diligent workers and parents. ;-) Thanks for the lovely comments, they are always appreciated. ;-)

That is such a spectacular show to see them work and hear them too when busy in the mud. Always exciting to watch them. Great shot Francine.
