Showing One's Tiny Horns by

This single Female Horned Lark (Eremophila alpestris) appeared to have made friends with a friendly Lapland Longspur. The Female Horned Lark is identified by the horns being absent or reduced. The males have a black breast band, mask and “headband” The later being absent in the female Horned Lark.
