Millipede Exoskeleton Remains
Much like snakes, the millipede sheds its skin or more correctly said; they shed their exoskeleton remains. They usually feed on it immediately after shedding it however; this millipede remains was left behind. I suspect one of two things occurred. Either this millipede got chased away by a predator, or it was captured by a stinging insect. Much like spider kills and scorpion fly victims, they paralyse their prey and then drink their fluids. Given that my find was on the ground and in the sand; I suspect the latter occurred to this millipede.
