Hinged At The Seams by Donnie Voelker

I pass this barn everyday on my way to my job-site, and the last time I passed it I noticed it was leaning. So I wanted to get a shot before it falls down. I enhanced it a bit with a few textures and a little tweaking and cloning to remove the new housing development in the back-ground. I hope you like it, shot this with a Nikon D5000 18-55mm Nikkor. Enhanced and Manipulated with my own images in PSP-X4. Thanks for looking!

I too thought there was a fire going on here. Great capture and positively fantastic treatment Donnie.

  • Thank you very much for your kind words Elaine :) Very happy it wasn’t on fire because it probably would have gone up in flames like a Christmas tree in March….lol. Thanks again, Donnie~

I am in total awe of this one Donnie!! Since I have seen this barn in person many many times over the years and actually watched the development behind it grow…I am AMAZED to see what you have done to this to remove all that “progress” and make the land behind this old worn out building what it once was when I was younger!! STUNNING WORK my dear friend!!!! I KNOW that many hours of your passion went into this one and you have done an amazing job on it!! I love the subtle addition of the sun in the corner to give it that reddish orange glow!! GREAT WORK darling…an instant fave for me!! :) Hope this one does not fall anytime soon though!!

  • Oh my!!! How do you reply to this???? I guess I will try…lol. I am so happy you like it! I don’t think I have ever posted a photo that you haven’t said any negatives so thank you so much my FRIEND :) Perhaps I’ll post the one with the lady waving on the beach….LOL!!! I’m glad you remember this barn without the development in the back-ground, would have been alot less work…lol Thank you for your wonderful comment Melissa :)
