A young three-toed sloth is friend and companion to a little girl of an indigenous community along the Amazon River. This was taken near Marasha at Puerto Alegria, Peru.

    oh my,,,,,,,,this is a stunning portrait of this little girl Blair!! Look at the claws on that sloth, wow, I hope they are gentle to handle. It looks quite happy smiling for the camera, this photo brings tears to my eyes,,,,,,,really!

    Thanks so much Lois!! The expression on that animal’s face was worth a million bucks! But what fascinated me was how the two of them (girl and pet) interacted!! It was hilarious and very entertaining!! ...just gotta watch out for those pinchers! When they grab on they don’t let go!!
