Tragopogon dubius – Western Salsify Its common name is Yellow Goatsbeard This plant is commonly seen in roadside ditches and on the edges of fields. Plants grow upright 1 to 2 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. This was taken on Nose Hill Park, Calgary, Alberta but can be seen everywhere in prairie regions of North America.
