Thanks Vickie! Really, this was a stroke of luck. You have no idea how many times I have just missed a beautiful magnolia blossom by a day or the rays of the sun and the rain have ruined an otherwise perfect experience…or they are so high up in the tree that I can’t get at them. This shot took me back 2 years ago to a time when I got one just about the same…this time I have learned a bit more about composition. Coming from you, I know I must be on the right track. Thanks for your encouragement and support.

Wow – I’ll have to post my “angel”. I have one right out the back door. The squirrels love the buds.
The fragrance always reminds of cake icing. I smell something white and sugary…like in a bakery.
Touch of citrus. I love them, too. I didn’t know they grew there.

Really nice capture! It caught my eye because it’s similar to my magnolia shot. While mine’s more shadowed and subdued, I really like the bright clarity and play of light among the white petals. Very nice job!!

These are one of the most difficult flowers to capture just at the right time. I always seem to get there just after the birds have been there or it has rained or there’s a nice one and it’s raining out…or!! It took me 2 years to get one just like this…they seem to start falling apart so quickly, or don’t open up just right or something!! Anyway, glad you liked this one!!
