I am from California and have lived in Mexico, China, Japan and England while studying various aspects of art and craft. I published limited edition, hand bound books for thirty years, and have recently closed my press to go back to painting… only in the 21st century way… in the computer. Enjoy!

Hi Patarice – I’m just beginning to visit more of the abstract artists on RB. Your work is delightful and so introspective. I particularly like this one. John B

  • Thanks so much, John. This is from my Worldscapes collection. They begin with high altitude photography. I’m looking for shapes, textures and colors rather than what one is really seeing from 5000 ft up. Most of this dragon is really there! I just played around with it and made a head on him. It’s interesting the things you find on the face of our earth.

A fascinating artform, Patrice. I read your description in your portfolio and had to come and view some of your worldscapes (great term for it!). Always a treat to view someone’s unique vision and creativity. The colours in this are fabulous and your ability to see and bring out the image are cool.
