this image of a young female giraffe was taken at the monarto free range zoo in the adelaide hills in south australia. there are quite a few giraffes now & they look magnificent roaming the plains.i took this image from a viewing platform using a fuji hs 10 on auto & full 30x zoom. monarto is about an hour & a half drive from the adelaide cbd & is a very pleasant drive up the freeway.
Howdy partner :) Love the motion here with the water splashing from his mouth, still aint been up to this zoo or Manato zoo, will get to them when I finally get a zoom lens lol. Awesome work mate, I hope all is well :) xoxo
yep alls well, pretty busy at the moment im in a team of 8 photographers that will be shooting the adelaide zombie walk so it should be fun. also got myself a job in a team shooting the xmas pagent.ive got images up a cleland conservation park in an exhibition with the wildlife photographers australia group, its running throughout the school holidays & i think a bit longer. & have just had work in the noarlunga photographic exhibition…also got 5 acceptances at the royal show & one was a merit, so things are going smooth. im heading off on the 15th oct on a 9 day bike ride through the adelaide hills, coorong, mannum,we sleep at monarto the last night. so the old bum may get a little sore LOL but im hoping to get some landscapes in the coorong and there are a lot of birds there at the moment. the cameras going on the back of the bike, long as i dont see any of your snakes i’ll be ok
