Atherton Tablelands, far north Queensland, Australia.
In a couple of recent discussions with Mieke and Tula I’ve been bemoaning my lack of images from ‘home’, meaning the Atherton Tablelands where I spent my childhood. This is one of the very few decent shots I have. Even though we were just passing through, the light was just too perfect not to stop the car! This picture encapsulates so much of how I remember the area: the colours, the fields and windbreaks, the mountains, the remnant forest, the clouds, the wetness, it’s all very typical.
