Thanks Ann! This was ‘work’ believe it or not :) Department of Water paid me to fly Perth to Kalbarri taking doco type photos of estuaries. This one was just for me though
Tempe
ya , i remember you saying, is stunning. just beautiful. think it would enlarge well ? like in poster for a wall ?
Dieter Tracey replied
Mmmm… yeah maybe. I’ll show you the print I made at Orpheus.

That is amazing!
Dieter Tracey replied
It was amazing to fly over! Maybe I should post a shot of the ponds? They ‘farm’ the pink algae for beta carotene (it’s used to make margarine yellow … don’t ask me why not pink :) So there’s these other parts of the lake that are all squares and rectangles in different shades of pink. Crazy

Would love to see the shot of the ponds, they do sound crazy. So I’m eating pink algae when I pop my margarine on my toast in the morning!
Dieter Tracey replied
Apparently, but I would still like to see pink margarine!

On closer inspection, this reminds me of pink marble. Wonderful image. Thanks for the explanation, too. I never would have guessed what this is.
