Beautiful image and title that tells a story of a beautiful face remembered but surfaces scratches and scars of pain. Lovely work John.

  • Thank you so much Mui-Ling, always appreciative of your fine comments. Sorry I haven’t replied to your other comments since I have been very busy with work and other projects. : D

great song and video. never heard it so thanks for turning me onto it.
sheesh!! what a great piece here John. That face is captivating, intense little girlish . . the crytic graphic imagery around the border is electricfying and how you combine cupcake sweet with breathlessly dangerous and edgy is a marvelous testimony to your power as an artist/communicator.
Talent of your caliber could be extremely influencial in political and social venues. I ’m serious.
    u stay true. x

  • I know, I absolutely love this song and video. Went to Number one in the US. Goyte or Gauthier
( Belgian for Walter ) is an Australian indie musician from here in Melbourne and he used to live two suburbs away from me. I saw him live when he was with a band called The Basics around 10 years ago. In reference to the painting I could have called it “Somebody Free Pussy Riot” but that would have been blatantly obvious. I enjoy challenging the viewer by serving up extremities and I love exploring the dualities in human character and personality as in this piece.
PS : I’m thinking of posting this on the official Pussy Riot website as it might generate some interest hopefully

great work and design john….terrible to be imprisoned but in a strange way for pussy riot it may well be a major boost for their careers, when they are freed ……record book and film deals no doubt will be in the offering

  • Thank you Charlie. I guess in this day and age of multi-media, adverse publicity or infamy is a great career move not that what they did was reprehensible.
