Ah, and it was… before eventually dropping into the bottomless bottle. Kerouac was such an interesting and complex man. Love the sensitive eyes in your piece, John.
Haven’t quite got the look but the eyes have it. I have a soft spot for Jack and I feel he was misunderstood by a lot of his contemporaries but history has been kind to him and deservedly so. Thank you again Frannie. : D
Thanks Francis. cheers JD
Jack was the giant killer whereas Burroughs was the beanstalk. I read “On the Road” when I was 12 and it left an indelible impression so much so it has subconsciously seeped into my literary imagination that sometimes it surfaces in my work in unexpected ways. A brooding and intelligent piece Jovan.
Very clever analogy Annie. I think I first read “On the Road” and "The Big Sur " back when I was about 15 and I can see some influences in your earlier pieces but I think you’re just as good as Jack if not better. : D
WELL DONE GREAT DEEP LOOK lIZ
Thanks Liz. : D
Jack with those sexy sullen eyes! Magnificent.
Have to agree with you Ronnie. He did have darn sexy eyes! Lol!!
Great work!!He looked for the pearl at Gunther’s in Northport, where I live.
Thank you so much Tori. Do you know anyone who knew Jack?

Jack was a giant but like all giants he was vulnerable. ..All the happiness and prosperity for 2012 and I’m sure you’ll be coming up with some real gems this year as you always do my friend. Kind Regards John
