“A Witch In Wonderland”
In the late 1960s, Hot on the success of Barbarella, French director Roger Vadim wanted to make an adult psychedelic version of Alice In Wonderland and had wholesome American Pop Icon Sandra Dee in mind to play Alice.
The film was to be titled Une Sorciere Au Pays Des Merveilles or a “A Witch In Wonderland”.
Ms Dee rejected the script because it involved nudity and sex scenes. However she did go on to make a handful of Italian movies after Paramount Studios sacked her in 1967. Nonetheless, it would have made a fantastic movie.
