Ain't No Mountain High Enough..... TAMMI TERRELL ( 1945-1970 ) by

TAMMI TERRELL ( 1945-1970 )

Multi – talented Singer Songwriter most famous for her duets with Marvin Gaye on "Ain’t no Mountain Higher Enough " and “Your precious Love” is perhaps the saddest story in Pop Music Industry.

As a teenager she recorded for the Phil Scepter–Wand, Try Me and Checker record labels. She signed with Motown in April 1965 and enjoyed modest success as a solo singer. Once she was paired with Gaye in 1967, her stardom grew, but on October 14 of that year she collapsed on stage into Gaye’s arms during a performance. She was soon thereafter diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor which eventually led to her death at the age of 24.

If Tammi had lived on she would have become a mega-star with an even better vocals skills than many of her contemporaries.
