James Douglas “Jim” Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971) was an American singer, songwriter, poet, writer and filmmaker. He was best known as the lead singer and lyricist of The Doors and is widely considered to be one of the most charismatic front men in rock music history. He was also the author of several books of poetry and the director of a documentary and short film. Although Morrison was known for his baritone vocals, many fans, scholars, and journalists have discussed his theatrical stage persona, his self-destructiveness, and his work as a poet. He was ranked number 47 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”.
Johnsan, this one jumped out and grabbed me, love doors!! :) We did visited his grave at Pere Lachaise Cemetery a while back, this is the most popular attraction in Paris……people still remember him and love his music! :)
Hi Ming, We may have been there at the same time! I visited his grave at Pere Lachaise Cemetery in 1992. You can’t really miss it. It’s always covered in graffitti, flowers and candles. Also Oscar Wilde, Victor Hugo and Edith Piaf’s graves are nearby too.
he is angelic here too bad he was a fast burning flame that heated up the heavens and crashed in ash- boom- high strung souls seem to do that the fire is just too much to stay too long at the center mighty dam goood now go play some of his old recording yah yah hugz pal here only drawing day and mopping the floor to look liveable
Hi Walt, he had a great singing voice and he was also a brilliant poet. I liked because he was a hell-raiser and a thinker at the same time. How have you been my friend?
