Hello Selkie, Nice to hear from you again!! Cheers and thank you. :)))
Great period! The twilight of gothic style art just when the world went totally high tech and industrial.
……. one could say : there is nothing that is not there …. I like the colour-schemes you use … spent long time looking :)
I photographed this in 3 parts before since it was quite big. Yes, there is alot happening here.
oh the detail in this is brilliant and love the verse , im clapping lol
You must remember this song Bev. It was from a group in the early 1970’s called Raincoat from the UK.
i don’t even have the words for this one…wow.
Lovely to meet you wildblackeyes. Thank you so much for your appreciation. :))
well maybe if i heard it but Raincoat does not ring a bell at all….
They were affiliated with Peter Gabriel and Genesis and they wrote music for underground film-maker Kenneth Anger re: Hollywood Babylon etc.
How interesting this is. I bet the group verses dark would enjoy this one. I think this is a wonderful experiment in diversity of face drawing. how wickedly evil,(and fun) some things in the night are.
Thank you so much Izzybeth, I went through a phase where I would create these big pieces with crowds with lots of different faces and situations. Around the same period I did Symphony of Terror, Realms Of The Unreal, The Midnight Hour and Subterranean Blues.
I love how this is swimming with characters. Most of which are very sensual attractive ladies..which i like. The color you chose really suggests the night and all those strange beautiful feelings that it can produce. Great work JohnGreat detailing too
You really read this well William. “Wulpurgis Night” is when the mortal world meets the supernatural world and is a very ancient ritual. The females are highly sexualized to emphasise the erotic nature of the supernatural world.
dantee,s dicandeeah,s internal,infernal,roustabout,ladies who follow him home-every night-and his wife—shoooo,z away—its hell to be as pop-you lair as sirjohnni—capo di capoz
Ha! ha! You’re funny Walt. If only it were true my friend. I guess being an artist is bit like being a saxophone player or a bass guitarist in a band. You don’t have to be a model material to get the ladies. :)))
