Most successes are unhappy… I have often wondered about what success really means lately – good pay? fame? I’ve known people who have been in such situations, yet they feel unhappy; and I’ve somewhat been through such myself. Makes one wonder what is really the meaning of life. But all the while there have been great misunderstands of many things believed in for a long time; many of which are still believed in by many.

Lovely work John; it is quite philosophical and presents a great irony of success being inversely proportional to happiness. And speaking of inverse and irony, it is also ironic that this pilot is in water even though she is high above sea level than below it. This is one piece I can truly relate and reflect much on; definite fave for me.

  • You read me like a book Mui-Ling. The way you describe the irony of success is exactly what my intentions were. I think success should be measured by the respect and love your family and friends have for you much more than any form of wealth or power.
