BLYTHART
Have you actually submitted your work to any publishers. I meant what I said about you being an illustrator – you are brilliant.
John Dicandia replied
Thank you so much Dave. You are too kind! I’ve tried numerous times submitting my work to publishers and they are a fickle lot of people. Maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree.
BLYTHART
Don’t stop trying. Rome wasn’t built in a day. I knew a guy who made a good living painting illustrations for book covers and video covers. Have you tried the record companies? With the internet it is now easier to show your images to people, so you could borrow the Artists and Writers Yearbook from your local library and email companies you find in there, attaching an example or two of your work.
John Dicandia replied
Ironically you mentioned record companies, I’ve been recommended by a friend to sign with a website called www.behance.net, which is highly regarded because music/advertising companies source this site for artwork constantly.
BLYTHART
Go for it – and may the force be with you my friend :)

Thank you obi-one-kenobe! :))))
