While flooding and snow batter Britain, Australians are fighting a horrible fire attack and draught …
I was reading the news online and saw so many horrible pictures from Australia that I had my eyes filled with water at the end! What a nightmare for all those in the middle of this battle field. May the force be with you all… I wish I could help in such situations but I feel so vulnerable … I wish I could stop the world in those moments and just make it turn again when everything is functionning normally again. :-/
My thoughts are with you,

Yes, I too have many friends from around the world contacting me to ask how things are. It’s only ‘just over the mountian range’ from here, but it seems like another world. Such lovely places we used to go for weekend drives – Marysville, Kinglake – are now places of hell and heartache. But the wonderful stoic Aussie spirit has come to the forefront and people are looking forward already, despite the terror and stress from last weekend.
It’s weird, because on Friday were were all sitting here at work wondering what we would do to cope the heat of what was expected to be a day of record temperatures – and little did we know that so many people had no comprehension that they would not even see Sunday.

The brave souls that stand and fight, the dear ones lost, an outpouring of love from australia and beyond, the connections are felt deeply.
