About friendship ...

Mugsy asked me some time ago – I won’t tell you exactly when because I am ashamed of the late response I am giving to his invitation… – to present and describe one of my works and then to choose another one of the A Class of Its Own Group and talk about it too.

I am not willing to talk about friends and friendship really but more about one of my photomanipulations I did some time ago.

So, may I introduce mine first: FRIENDSHIP

No need to tell you that I am a dreamer but perhaps that I am not a good painter…I never really managed to draw or paint perhaps because I am a little perfectionnist when it comes to reproduce things on a piece of paper. When I discovered photoshop some 8 years ago I was far away of dreaming that one day I would be able to project my dreams and ideas on a jpeg format picture.

This really made me see art with other eyes and gave me the chance to pic up pieces here and there and put them all together to form my own image. And the images almost looked like real! ;-)

Friendship was made with the idea of projecting myself to a calm but warm place where I wouldn’t feel completely on my own and where I could feel the harmony between nature and humans, where the human part is not represented by the scarecrow itself but by the fact that is was made by humans … and the crows to represent the friendship … rather the geting used to the presence of a man made object.
The 4 images I used for this piece of art came from stock friends at deviant Art which I would like to present as well to give you an idea of the original photos and the final art:

-> background sky
-
> tree
-> scarecrow
-
> crows

For my chosen work from the group may I introduce:

Road Less Travelled, by Heather Rivet

This black and white photograph is absolutely amazing! I love the path and the image really invites you to walk on it. I can smell the grass, I can feel the breeze and I even can see the wonderful colors of this scenary although it is a black and white photograph!

I am not a photographer but for me the real capture is not the one that gives you the feeling you want to be there but the one that makes you feel as if you are there right now and this is exactly what I feel when I look at Heather’s photos. I invite you to check out her gallery , you wont be disapointed. Cherrs Heather and thank you for sharing so much wonderful pictures with us.

Well, hope you enjoyed my little introduction and presentation :-)

May you all have a great day,
Diana
