It’s been a while since I was “out & about”, or even “up & about” since becoming sick a few weeks ago. Finally, I’m feeling somewhat human again, and I was itching to get out with my family (and my camera was a bit of a priority too!).
After an early lunch, and a stroll along the river banks in Warburton, we decided to go check out the O’Shannassy Aquaduct Trail. I’m ashamed to admit, I’ve never ventured up there before though I’ve lived in the area quite a few years. The Trail is now clearly signposted at various points along the Warburton Hwy and easy to find. Parking is a little tight at some of the trail entry points, but if you head to the Dee Road entrance to the trail in Millgrove, you’ll not only find a spacious carpark, but a glorious view across the Valley towards Yarra Junction.

Heading west from the Kent Road trail entrance. Approx 4kms to Dee Road from this trail entry.

An easy walk for all age groups – as modelled by my Son (nearly 5) and my Mother (who doesn’t want to share her age!)

Some of the towering Tree Ferns along the trail.
