Woolshed Falls- Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park by

Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park covers 21,505 hectares near Beechworth, north of Melbourne, Victoria. The park is very rich in a variety of natural and historical landmarks. I became totally fascinated by the colours and patterns of the rocky foundation of the Woolshed Falls. Olympus uSW790, f/5.0, shutter 1/125.

Hi Dianne I really like this shot. I am however very confident that I am correct in telling you that your photograph is of the magnificent Beechworth Gorge.

  • Thank you mspfoto for your comments. Was I correct in identifying the falls as ‘Woolshed’? Such a beautiful area of Victoria, a paradise for photographers!

I am quite certain this is the Spring Creek Cascades in the Beechworth Gorge, Woolshed Falls are further down stream. The Beechworth Gorge is a state park and not part of the Chiltern – Mt Pilot National park. Sorry if I seem like I am playing teacher its not my intention. Cheers
