Fall is my time for reflection as life slows down from a busy Summer. For me it is a time to stop and look around me and give thanks for all my blessings.

I heard a statement the other day that struck home for me: Experience + Reflection = Insight, or the flip side, Experience minus Reflection = Insanity. It is a choice we all make every day.

Painting is a way for me to express the beauty I see around me. I am most content when I am outside and able to be experiencing the beautiful and peace in our world. This beauty also inspires me to illustrated Bible verses that have been so helpful to me as I travel through life. My desire is that others will find encouragement and hope through these paintings in my collection titled The Picture of Scripture. I believe God’s word never comes back empty.

perfect, Diane!!! one of the scriptures that has been a constant for me (me worry??!!)
as you know, I love this painting!

  • Thanks my painting buddy. Yes, this is also one of my favorite verses and it seems I need to be reminded most every day, after I have done all I can, to take a deep breath and allow God to run the show. I can be a sloooow learner at times!

A great scripture to live by….in modern terms….“don’t borrow trouble”. When we lose sight of ANY of the scriptures, we get ourselves into trouble. I agree with Sally about allowing God to run the show…..He can very easily do without our help!

  • Thanks Marsha for your very insightful comment. So pleased you enjoyed it too.
