In 2003, 14 Trumpeter Swans were released at Callander Bay, Lake Nipissing, North Bay Ontario by the Ministry of Natural Resources. In 2005, one of the swans was found to have taken up residence on Wasi Lake. Each summer since, we have been graced with an occasional visit from this Trumpeter Swan in our bay.
