This is the Cemetery on Taos Pueblo, where the original San Geronimo Church was built around 1619. This photo was taken in the summer of 2010 during my vacation to New Mexico. As I took this photo, there was a silence around me, a breeze in the air, and a very special feeling I recieved. This is a very sacred place to the people who live here and I have great respect for them.

Wow Diana!…I thought I lived in the place in the US but it seems Taos Pueblo is older by many years, I will have to do my homework lol….Beautiful capture, great angle and very interesting information…It must have been quite a feeling strolling around this sacred land.
Thank you Kate!! Yes, I loved every minute of being here. It was really hard because we got here one hour before they closed. It was a long trip, because we took the long way, which is called the High Road to Taos. It’s like the back way to get there. So once we were here, I was taking it all in, as quickly as I could. The people I went with, thankfully got lost looking in the stores. It was good for me. I just went where I wanted, and wondered all over. It was nice being alone and feeling what this place was all about. It was very special. :)

Well captured Diana ! We enjoyed visiting Taos some years ago in similar weather :)
Thank you Trish!! I love Taos pueblo. I would love to visit again sometime. Both times I have been there, the weather was like this. There are always fabulous clouds there. I love New Mexico. There is so much to Photograph. I have pets, so it’s rare that I take any trips far from home. Hopefully someday again. :)
