Jerome is a historic copper mining ghost town. . It is at 5,200 feet and is located between Prescott and Flagstaff. The town is known to be haunted and many people find it facinating. In 1967 Jerome was designated a National Historic District by the federal government. Today Jerome is a thriving tourist and artist community and has a population of about 450 people. AIl the buildings and homes show their age, and each is unique in it’s own way. The town sells antiques, art, and many interesting things you can’t just find anywhere. It is a very fun and interesting place to visit.
