This was taken at the Grand Canyon, Arizona in USA. It was a cloudy, rainy day, and it made it great for taking photographs. I hiked down a trail, to a certain point, to get this shot. It then started raining on my way back up to the top of the trail. Just made it in time, before it started really coming down.

Wow! That tree on the right makes the whole photo! It really makes the whole thing darker and more foreboding. Well done.

  • Thank you so very much Scott!!! I had to get the tree. After that, I was ready to go. :)

Just plain gorgeous capture, love that you chanced getting wet to get the shot. I would have done the same thing.

  • Thank you so much Jan. Yeah, I had to put my camera under my jacket on the way back up to the car. I didn’t really think any of my photos came out due to the clouds. I got a few at least. :) Thanks again!!
