This is not a lovely coated zoo wolf or hand fed wolf, this is a Timber Wolf caught in the wild on Monday at Caddy Lake, Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba, Canada. He/she has been to war trying to survive the pack or has been removed from the pack. It had a previously injured hind leg and has facial scars so it’s not pretty and his/her coat is very rough and dirty.
This is nature in it’s true state.

    Awesome capture Vickie !

  • thank you Judy, its exciting to see wildlife in the wild.
We took a seasonal site at our favorite lake for summer and I am very excited. I am calling this one my start, because on this day we were looking to see which site we will choose on our draw date at the campground

What a remarkable, true capture of the struggles these animals endure! Excellent work, Vickie!

  • thank you Deb, it’s so exciting to see the animals in the wild, specially those less likely to show themselves like this.
