This is not a lovely coated zoo wolf or hand fed wolf, this is a Timber Wolf caught in the wild on Monday at Caddy Lake, Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba, Canada. He/she has been to war trying to survive the pack or has been removed from the pack. It had a previously injured hind leg and has facial scars so it’s not pretty and his/her coat is very rough and dirty. This is nature in it’s true state.
thank you Judy, its exciting to see wildlife in the wild. We took a seasonal site at our favorite lake for summer and I am very excited. I am calling this one my start, because on this day we were looking to see which site we will choose on our draw date at the campground
Lovely action nature shot of a wild Timber Wolf on the move in the snow! Hope he mends okay and makes it through the winter. : )
thanks so much for stopping in Sandy. It’s been a great mild winter so far, with more snow since this was shot on Monday, but he’s not think, just dirty

What a remarkable, true capture of the struggles these animals endure! Excellent work, Vickie!

thank you Deb, it’s so exciting to see the animals in the wild, specially those less likely to show themselves like this.
