This cute little creek is just south of the entrance to Whistler’s Campground in Jasper NP, Alberta. This was taken the day of the big snowfall between Banff and Jasper on July 13, 2010. I wanted to take a drive for scenic shots and this is one of them. What a day, to get several inches of snow in the middle of July, but this just shows you that weather can change on a moment’s notice in the mountains.
The snow was very wet and heavy and as you see here, the little trees really suffered and bent to the ground in some cases.
The snow was gone after two days of warmer weather.
