I guess it’s not unusual to get snow in the Canadian Rocky Mountains at any time of year. I had the displeasure of being in Jasper, Alberta during the BIG snowfall that occurred between Banff and Jasper on July 13, 2010. This female Elk looked like she was wondering where to sleep that night. It turned out that the ground became completely covered as I took this photo just as the snow started.
