View From the Wilcox Pass Hiking Trail by

This is my husband’s photo. While we were camped at the Wilcox Creek Campground close to the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park in July, he took the hiking trail to the top of Wilcox Mountain. This is the view from the high point looking down on a little glimpse of the highway (middle of the photo) and the meltwaters of the Columbia Icefield – Way down!
8 km to the pass and back, 11.2 km one way to Tangle Falls (4-6 hours)

Trailhead: the parking area on the left-hand side of the Wilcox Creek Campground entrance road, 3.1 km south of the Icefield Centre.
