I found another old grain elevator at Netley, Manitoba just the other day. Nice to mention that this one is still in use, the railway tracks run right alongside. This image is taken off a mile road that goes by the elevator, the secondary image is from #9 Hwy. that I decided to take on our way home from Winnipeg Beach the other day. Notice the different light and that one was taken about 1/2 mile away with my Canon 150-500 mm lens @500mm. Slightly blurry as you can see.

The dull spring colors are still in view here. This elevator is now run by Agricore, formerly Manitoba Pool Elevators.

  • thank you so much Blair, at first I didn’t like the shot (too far away) but I suppose it shows our spring time colors on the fields, and nice sunny day showing off this old beauty

Great shots Vickie, from every direction. Nice to know the elevator is still operational. Barb

  • thank you Barb, yes I like to know that too, there are quite a few still in use, and in some cases farmers have moved them to the family farm – that’s OK too
