Featured in Down On the Farm – April 16, 2010

I couldn’t resist stopping in to ask the folks who live on this farm, if I could take photos of the barn and house. They obliged quite happily. This barn is seriously leaning outward as you can see, no distortion done by me to make it look this way. Even the windows are broken in that direction. This barn is over 100 years old and was registered by the Manitoba government as a Heritage Farm for being family owned for over 100 years, and still going. How wonderful is that!! More to come at a later date of the house and sheds.
Photographed at Netley, Manitoba, Canada.

Beautiful shot hon. It’s hard to imagine it was once red. I like the title btw.

  • I would bet it was red 100 years ago, and proudly too. You can see the red paint faintly in the corners – glad you like it. It’s out where you are going on the weekend :-))
