Bladworth, SK Grain Elevator
Featured in Rural Across the Globe – October 30, 2009
This operational grain elevator is located in Bladworth, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was built in 1958 after the frame annex was built in 1954. It’s run by the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. We found this elevator still in operation with a truck inside unloading it’s grain. It’s on the list of Saskatchewan’s Heritage Foundation’s list of 534 elevators in the province still standing.

Vickie I love this … something so lonely about it … such a sense of vastness and openness!!!!
Vickie Emms replied 26 days ago
that’s the beauty of these old icons of the prairies hon, they stand out for miles before you actually drive right up – I got a few on this last trip to Alberta on the weekend. All of them are lonely :-( Thanks so much for your always welcome visit
