This is stunning, i am envious. The colours are simply beautiful. One of my very good friends daughters name is Poppy, i am very tempted to buy a print of this for her, she would love it !

What a lovely comment, thank you!
I must admit I’m getting a large-format print of this done at the lab I use for my film processing (they do larger format prints than RB) for my wall – it’s one of my personal favourites :-)
Richard Veal
Excellent work.
I will have to get my Cokin filters out again and start using them.
Diado replied
Thanks :-) I must admit I do swear by my cokins, especially the ND grads.
Jason Asher
A great shot, cool! Was a polarizing filter used for this shot? Also perhaps a lower angle with more of the poppies would be a cool or this shot – maybe even on it’s side in portrait too.
Nice work mate.
Diado replied
Thanks :) Yes, I used a cokin circular polariser and ND grad. The issue with lowering the angle was that I wanted to show the sheer amount of poppies in the field in addition to the single one rising out of them, and the shots I have at a lower angle don’t show enough of them for my liking. Portrait orientation might’ve worked though :-)
Jason Asher
Ah I see, then you succeeded – nice work again. :)

Love how you managed to get one heads and shoulders above the others and include it as such a focal point.
