Lower Haley's Waterfall of Arkansas by David Hughes

Lower Haley's Waterfall of Arkansas by

Frontal view of Lower Haley’s Falls is 45’ ft tall only seen in high water. Most captures i have seen of this fall has been side view captures. There are 4 waterfalls in this area, i was only able to capture 3. The rains were coming down pretty heavy all day. Made some fires along the bluffs to dry everything out. All 4 falls area very close to Hawksbill Craig on Buffalo River National Forest. Needless to say i was pretty wet after spending all day in this area.
Captured with Canon 60D with 55-135mm lens on tripod and timer.
Shutter speed 1/6s-Aperture F/22.0-ISO 100-Focal Length 18.0mm

That beautiful brown with the grey-green of the rocks! Wonderful colour harmony and a lovely picture.

  • Thank you for your lovely comment! It was so pretty out there. Just wish there would have been a little more color to the trees. We always want something more, don’t we as photographers. ha ha ha

a very excellent capture, David; well worth the drenching, I’ll wager.

  • Thank you so much, Miles! It was a fun day, anyway.
