This is a geometric transformation of a metal footbridge. The lines are bare metal and the shades of orange are corrosion in light and shadow. I enjoy the high connectedness — each pattern leads into others.
I picked my daughter up from college yesterday, and we collected the copper plates she used in printmaking. It made me think, wouldn’t it be fantastic to have some sort of copper box etched with this pattern? I wonder if I could print some kind of resist onto metal.
