Royal Exhibition Building

Title: Royal Exhibition Building
Photographer: Darren Stones
Location: Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Date and time: Saturday January 14, 2012 9:15PM.

“The Royal Exhibition Building is an imposing sight, and even better at dusk when it’s floodlit. When I was making this photograph, some friendly possums came to check out the action. With large trees located in the Carlton Gardens, in which this building is located, I think it’s great that there’s wildlife in such a location so close to Melbourne’s CBD.

When I arrived at the location, I walked around the building and decided to sit down and look at it for about 20 minutes, as I was rather keen to gain a better sense of the importance of this World Heritage-listed building." – Darren Stones
