Mimosa Rocks National Park is located on the Sapphire Coast, near Tathra, NSW, Australia. In 1863, The Paddle Steamer Mimosa ran into the offshore rocks and sank. Two lives were lost.
I like this capture Darren, so many points of interest. The rock pool, the peak of the (mimosa rocks)? looks like an old ruin, and that channel just makes me wonder what fish may lurke beneath.
I suspect there’s lots of fish around there, Ricky. :) It’s still relatively quiet as far as national parks go, and the coastal scenery is gorgeous.
Great shot Darren. Googled the story about the steamer, rather interesting.
Yes, the steamer was way to close to the shore, John. It’s a little tricky walking on these rocks to get to this spot, but well worth it to see it at its best in the afternoon light. Cheers.
