Cobar Age, Cobar Weekly and Nyngan Observer acknowledge litter problem along Barrier Highway
It seems the litter problem along the Barrier Highway in New South Wales between Nyngan and Cobar is a concern.
The Cobar Age, Cobar Weekly and Nyngan Observer have published the writing I posted here last week – Abusing the Australian Landscape – after I submitted it to them.

Hopefully some swift action will be taken to clean up that stretch of highway because it is an eyesore.

Hey Darren, good stuff.
Many bottles have been washed away or covered with red crust soil. Its natures way of undoing mans effect on the environment.
Thanks for sending the message.
Darren Stones replied
Hi Mark. Thanks.
With some luck it may stir some people into action around your neck of the woods. Will be one heck of a job to clean up, that’s if it’s ever undertaken.

Hi Darren
I just picked up a copy of the Cobar Weekly (a weekly newspaper) and found this article published on page 8
Congrats
Darren Stones replied
Mark, that’s good to hear. Thanks very much for letting me know.
I contacted Sharon Harland, Editor, The Cobar Weekly, and she expressed a willingness to publish it, too.
Cheers.
