Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

Canon 60D, Abu Dhabi. U.A.E.

A lovely water feature located on the Corniche in Abu Dhabi. Set against the backdrop of some of the high rise hotels that are springing up all over.

I have loved taking photographs since I was handed the “power” aged around 10. I have had many cameras since then, most costing under £100, and have enjoyed every one of them. I take pictures because I love the process and the results (sometimes) and if these can be enjoyed by others, then this is an added and welcomed bonus. Currently using Canon 60Ds with L series lenses.

Definitely a place to visit. I know so many people who have been there, and actually know some people living there right now. This is such a beautiful view, showing so much detail on not only subject but the buildings behind. Definitely a growing community. Susan

  • hahaha..growing? you are sooo right on that one. I figure I should sell up here and go across and start a crane hire company. So much construction, both residential and commercial. Incredible. They are getting annexes of the Louvre and also the Guggenheim. These building when finished will be incredible. One of the hotels (the Emirates) cost $3 billion to build.

Splendid composition of the architecture Derek, very well done :)

  • Thanks very much Yannik…44 degrees and a struggle hauling my kit around we suffer for our art.

44! Incredible! I just saw a documentary yesterday on Abu Dhabi and the extreme heat and no water and how the engineers managed to forage deep into the rock to the water level and how they had to go against the very strong winds for the very high rise buildings and make exoskeleton architecture and all and all. It must be an amazing trip!
