Panorama taken from Puu Ualakaa State Park on Round Top Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii. From here, it’s easier to recognize that Diamond Head was in fact a volcano way back in the past. Much better seen in bigger format
Sony NEX-5N, 18-55mm zoom, in full pano mode.
Great Pano David, not all beaches and blue sea then lol! x
Thank you Pauline. No, beaches and blue sea play only a tiny part in our Hawaii stay.
Great wide view
Thank you, Warren.
Thank you, Audrey.
Super pano David …
Thank you, Tom, glad you like it. It’s a lazy man’s pano, just press the button and pan while holding it down. Thank you, Sony! lol
Looks fabulous enlarged, David,,,great capture!
Hi, Dorothy, glad you like it and thank you for faving it. FYI. I just modified the colour saturation a little, and I rather like the effect. It’s truer to what the colours were really like yesterday, when I took the picture.
Thank you so much, and thank you too for the fave.
That’s a great picture David – the old Diamond Head and the new buildings, quite a contrast !
I really like this one. We had rented a car yesterday and towards the end of the day drove up to the Tantalus Drive/Round Top Drive area of Honolulu, quite high up as you can tell. This was the first time we’d been up there and the views were sensational. I shot a load of pictures and panoramas, but it wasn’t until just before my last three pictures, one of which this is, that I discovered that in my manipulation of the camera I’d accidentally switched to a -3 stop setting, easy to do on my Sony. So, I lost everything but this picture and two others. BUGGER!
