A rather well used fishing boat tied up at the wharf at Daniel’s Head on Cape Sable Island, the most southerly point of the Profince of Nova Scotia, Canada.

Daniel’s Head is named after Daniel Vinson, the first permanent resident of Cape Sable Island following the Acadian Expulsion of the 1750s. Vinson came from Martha’s Vinyard in the USA in 1767 and was the first person of record to receive a land grant on Cape Sable Island.

I’ve been an amateur photographer for as long as I can remember, which at my age is about a couple of weeks! I’ve owned film cameras from Zeiss, Scheider, Leica, Nikon and Olympus, as well as digital cameras from Pentax and Canon, and still have several, if I can ever find them. I currently use a Sony NEX-5N with an 18-55mm zoom lens, and after a year of ownership am still learning all the functions.

Great photo David. The boat owner is not making enough to paint his boat or making so much he has no time to paint it.

  • Either way, he needs help! lol
