Today shall henceforth be known as convergence day! The small redroofed building on the lower left of the picture is the 1877 Trinity Church, Copley Square, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. On the right, threatening to fall onto it, is the 60 storey John Hancock Tower. One might say from the sublime to the ridiculous!
How I wish I could get rid of the dreaded convergence, which makes the picture look rather ridiculous, but as yet I haven’t figured out how. Sorry about that!
The left edge of it is pretty well dead straight. It’s all to do with the focal length of your lens I guess. Photoshop has a tool for fixing this but I’ve never used it. But never mind, simply re-title the picture “The leaning tower of Hancock!” then everyone will think it’s meant to be like this! LOL Cheers mate Peter
LOL, Peter. I just got PS Elements and I know it will let me change the perspective but I’m darned if I know how yet. Maybe by this time next year! lol
Thank you, Al! With the great assistance of Steven Watson (WatscapePhoto), who did pretty much all of the work, there’s now a new version in which everything is no longer toppling over onto the church. I’ll have to post it one of these days.
