A foggy Hawk beach on Cape Sable Island, the most southerly point of Nova Scotia, Canada. The beach is covered with kelp thrown up be a recent storm

Canon PowerShot 710IS

I’ve been an amateur photographer for as long as I can remember, which at my age is about a couple of weeks! I’ve owned film cameras from Zeiss, Scheider, Leica, Nikon and Olympus, as well as digital cameras from Pentax and Canon, and still have several, if I can ever find them. I currently use a Sony NEX-5N with an 18-55mm zoom lens, and after a year of ownership am still learning all the functions.

I really love this shot David , Canada is one Country I’d really love to visit,

  • Thank you, Malcolm. I’m sad to say I just discovered that I’d posted this picture before. That’s the trouble with having so many pictures posted, I tend to lose track of what’s in and what isn’t. Bugger! Embarrassing!

Interesting that it all collects at the point.

  • I came back a couple of weeks later and the kelp was even deeper, a couple of feet. Must have been a really nasty storm for that!

Love all those leave David. At least if you have posted this before you are getting new comments and favs on it. :)

  • Trouble is, Beth, once the tide goes out and it dries, it absolutely stinks! I suppose second time around isn’t too bad. Only 1,299 left to re-enter! LOL
