This flamingo was posing in perfect flamingo fashion in the Hong Kong Botanical and Zoological gardens. The S-shape formed by its head and neck reminded me of the sort of heading you see in children’s alphabet books.
Taken some time ago with a Canon EOS3 and Canon 300mm f2.8L IS lens using Fuji Provia transparency film.

Living for partly in Italy, partly in Phuket and partly in other locations around the world – Hong Kong & Kenya when I can – I spend a lot of time photographing anything and everything. I particularly enjoy the challenge of capturing shots of wildlife large and small – from elephants to insects. A wider selection of my work can be seen on my website at www.dgcphoto.com.

Wonderfull Signore Davide
Grazie, Giovanni!! Why Italia, well, it’s a lovely place to live and it does mean I’m easy to find in the phonebook! – there are far too many of us in the UK! I used to live in Hong Kong where there weren’t too many of us either!

Thanks dear David for this nice answer..
Let me say I do sympathize with you in your Italian choice Sir!
A wise choice. May I ask once more : where in Italy ?
Regards
John
In the hills near the little village of Palazzo Del Pero, not far from Arezzo, Tuscany…
