17th April 2009. This amazing and huge water feature is the centre piece of the fountain oasis in the new and equally amazing and huge Dubai Mall. The shot shows part of one of the two water walls, each of which is adorned with many sculpted divers. The water walls are some three mall storeys high, so the drop must be around 30 metres, if not more – the place is so new that all the superlative statistics haven’t been released yet!

Spacefull and creative.. Formerly the fountains were created for giving a sense of peace and harmony… and give joy to the senses…. now it seems that they cherish, where money is a concern and use, spectacular oasis of giant resources…. would have loved really I cherish fountains.. even the most simple one. Thanks very much, Rosa. The whole place is certainly a spectacular oasis of giant resources. For designers who dream big, it’s the perfect canvas. On the positive side, this fountain seems to give a lot of people a lot of pleasure.
What a unique water display. This is lovely. The movement in it seems so real. Wonderful photography Dave~
Thanks very much, Lj. It’s certainly a very different display. There are in fact far more divers than appear on my photo but I didn’t want to show the edges of the waterfall, although I did think it important to show the water at the bottom.
This is fantastic. Water has provided such a great texture for the photo. It almost looks like a wall of uneven concrete. Really unique photo. Dubai must have been a great experience!
Many thanks for your great comment, parmi. Dubai certainly is an amazing place, offering many unusual sights to photograph.
